Sensing that the immediate surroundings of the club were ageing and the facilities were being outgrown, the club then searched for a new home. Now trading as the Knox Football Club, they moved to the current location at Knox Gardens Reserve, Argyle Way, in the new estate opposite the brick factory on Stud Road, Wantirna South. With a ground which had virtually been untouched and brand new pavilion, changerooms and a pool of young families, there was much anticipation of better things to come for the hawks. This was realised almost instantaneously with the club reaching its first senior Grand Final, unfortunately losing to Hawthorn Citizens.
